week 1 Lab 3

Question:

An important step in matchmoving is creating a coordinate system. Explain what this means.

Answer:

Matchmover manages a set of user-defined coordinate system with respect to the cameras ad 3D points. Match mover will choose an arbitrary coordinate system if none is specified. You are able to define a coordinate system in order to facilitate the manipulation of your exported project in a 3D package. Match mover will also align the coordinate system on the computed position of the camera for the first frame if no point relations was set up. The default is the camera facing the Y and Z as up axis but this will change accordion to your project's 3D parameters by selecting a different up axis.
